South Africa’s mining regulator welcomes Rio Tinto’s $473 million Zulti South investment

South Africa’s Department of Mineral and Petroleum Resources has welcomed the decision by global mining giant Rio Tinto to invest about $473 million (R8.5 billion) in the Zulti South project in KwaZulu-Natal, saying the move signals renewed investor confidence in the country’s mining sector.
